The College proudly announces three student recipients of awards sponsored by the American Optometric Foundation:

Bradley Dougherty, OD, MS, PhD student, 2009-2010 Merton C. Flom Ezell Fellowship

Eric Ritchey, OD, MS, FAAO, PhD student, 2009-2010 VISTAKON® Ezell Fellowship

Kara Williams, 4th year student, 2009 AOF-Carl Zeiss Vision Fellow

The Ezell Fellowship Program, named after the founding President of the American Optometric Foundation (AOF), William C. Ezell, OD, was established to provide opportunities to talented postgraduate students who wish to pursue careers in optometric research and education. Each Fellowship includes an $8,000 award and $750 travel fellowships to attend the 2009 American Academy of Optometry meeting and the 2010 ARVO meeting.

The AOF-Carl Zeiss Vision Fellows represent a student selected from each of the 19 colleges and schools of optometry in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Each Fellowship includes a $5,000 award to assist in offsetting the cost of the fourth year of optometric education.
